Our Italian Conversation Groups are a great way to practice speaking Italian with others and to improve your knowledge of the language. Friendly and helpful moderators guide the discussion and offer fun facts to stimulate your growth as a language learner and expand your knowledge of Italian culture. Topics range from history, literature, music and art to news, food, cinema and travel.
These small gatherings of 4-8 people allow everybody multiple opportunities to practice their Italian. We offer both a Beginner Conversation Group and an Intermediate/Advanced Conversation Group, open to members and non-members.
The price is $10 for members of Il Punto and $20 for non-members. (Covid-19 Hardship price of $0 is currently also available.) If you are not already a member join now to take advantage of the reduced rate and other benefits!
All event proceeds help pay the operating costs of The Italian Cultural Center - Il Punto, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation. We are extremely grateful to our Conversation Group moderators for volunteering their time for free!
Due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, the Conversation Groups are currently held online via Zoom, on Saturday mornings.
Normally, the Saturday morning Conversation Groups are in Seattle at Il Punto and on the Eastside at Tutta Bella Pizzeria in Crossroads/Bellevue. Check the calendar for details on dates, times and location of the upcoming groups and to register directly online for the group that's right for you. For further information contact us or email directly our coordinator.
If you are unable to attend a Conversation Group for which you have signed up, please contact us as soon as possible at conversation@ilpuntoseattle.org. If we are able to fill your spot from our waiting list, we will issue a credit which can be used for future Il Punto registrations.
