Saltimbocca translates to "jump-in-the mouth". Indeed this delicious meat dish from Rome is so good it will disappear from the plate as if it jumped out! From the comfort of your own kitchen, you will prepare this delicious Italian secondo piatto. Filippo will walk you through the process step-by-step, live and online. Throughout the session, he will tell you about the origins of saltimbocca, and sprinkle some Italian cooking vocabulary on top! At the end of the session you will be able to enjoy this tasty dish for dinner. The small-group, interactive, online format is a safe space for you to try things out, make mistakes, laugh, and learn, all while connecting with Il Punto's Italian community.

About your instructor: Filippo is co-founder and executive chef of Due Cucina, located in Capitol Hill, Seattle. He grew up in a small town in Tuscany and studied engineering, even obtaining his PhD. His passion for cooking led him abandon his tech career to perfect his craft in the kitchen. Before moving to Seattle, Filippo was the resident Italian chef on a Chinese culinary TV show, so he is used to teaching on camera. Filippo is a strong supporter of Il Punto, always ready to lend a hand: you may have met him at Il Punto's auction last year, or at this year's Festa di Carnevale. Register now!
