Tre, due, uno, ciak! Si parla!

Join us for Tre, due, uno, ciak! Si parla! a fun way to watch and discuss Italian-language movies, in Italian of course! How does it work? Easy, we recommend an Italian movie, you watch it, and then we all get together on Zoom to discuss it. It's a a great way to practice your listening skills and to improve your spoken Italian in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The conversation will be moderated by movie buff Serena Capozi, who is also one of our experienced moderators for Il Punto's Italian Conversation Groups. This event is designed for advanced- or intermediate-level students of Italian.

To honor the Academy Awards Ceremony month, this time we will discuss: Ieri, Oggi e Domani.

Vincitore del Premio Oscar come miglior film straniero nel 1965, ‘Ieri, Oggi e Domani’ è un classico nella storia del cinema italiano. Il film è diviso in 3 episodi: ‘Adelina’, ‘Anna’ e ‘Mara’ e narra le vicende di coppie che vivono in diverse città italiane: Napoli, Milano e Roma. Il film è interpretato dalla coppia iconica Sofia Loren-Marcello Mastroianni.

Winner of the Academy Award for Best International Picture in 1965, 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' is a classic Italian movie. The movie consists of three short stories ‘Adelina’, ‘Anna’ e ‘Mara’ and it narrates the events of couples living in Naples, Milan and Rome. The movie features the iconic duo Sofia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni.
